Thanks so much in advance and please let me know if there's any other information I can provide to be helpful. Another option for editing OBS-recorded videos is MiniTool. Note: Matte transitions only work in OBS Studio version 27 or above. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TI (relevant for OBS but not sure this is relevant for resolve b/c I use the free version) The Video Sequence Editor is a pain in the ass to get used to because its annoyingly different from everything else in the out there but its free, reasonably powerful, and incredibly customizable. Using a pre-defined template I have created, I will create a basic matte transition for you to use in OBS Studio.Do any of you have any insight / advice here? Is there another option in place of this for near-lossless quality? The videos are max 30 minutes so space shouldn't be too much of an issue. I'm wondering what video encoder I should use in OBS to export footage in the highest quality format that's compatible / optimized for editing in resolve? I use the free version of Resolve (for now) so I don't believe the hevc_nvenc encoder would work for me as it outputs h.265 (I've heard this is the best one to use for screen recordings). ![]() I record tutorial videos using OBS (I don't stream) and do some light camera work. ![]() ![]() I'm new to DaVinci Resolve and am going to begin recording / exporting 4k footage (up from 1080p) and was hoping to get some clarity on this.
